For decades, the Steyne Hotel has been the scene of post-match Manly victories, the drowning of sorrows after a defeat, the go-to venue to celebrate the lives of former players and the head-wetting for future Marlins and Mermaids.
As the Steyne's licensee Adam Gainsford says: "If the Round Bar walls could talk, there would be too many stories to count."
The pub and Manly rugby have walked hand-in-hand as sponsor and club for as long as anyone can remember but the relationship is much more than transactional.
"The most rewarding aspect of sponsoring the Marlins is the sense of community and heritage shared between us. We love growing our communities and being able to support our local clubs," Adam continued.
"Sponsorship extends beyond business benefits, fostering a cohesive community where locals gather and support one another.
"For us it is about creating spaces where our community feel welcome any time of the day, and proud that their local is sponsoring their club."
The Steyne has stepped things up further this year, introducing a 'Village Green' concept in the Round Bar as a place for fans to gather and watch the Marlins on Stan when they can't get to a game.
There's been changes elsewhere, too, with the Miami Rice restaurant (Asian style shares) on the rooftop opening to great acclaim.
There's also the beach bar and bistro, Magic's sports bar and the beer garden with its giant screen and live music.
So dress in your red and blue and drop into the Steyne sometime soon.
