The Marlins family experienced a sad loss last month following the death of Justus Potgieter.
The name may not be familiar with many at the club but we will be forever in debt to the South African-born Justus.
He took on the herculean (and unpaid) task of editing the club's history book, the 482-page Manly Rugby – Sun, surf and scrums.
Project manager Sean Rout wrote: "It was a daunting task to maintain some form of consistency over the twenty-two chapters. Without Justus, the task would have been overwhelming…thank-you, mate."
Justus, a sports historian and professor of sports psychology, called himself a "blow-in" who loved every minute of the job.
"Being the editor was rewarding. A major pay-off was meeting many living legends of the Manly household," he said.
"(The book) is a major achievement – involving more than fifty contributors – and a true reflection of team spirit, commitment and tenacity."
Thank-you for your contribution, Justus.
It will never be forgotten.
